Faith in Communities a group that, in recognition of the increasing hardships experienced within our community, looks at how the church can respond. It is an advisory group to the Elders and members of the Church on key issues and potential areas for public statement and action. We gather information on issues of concern at a national level (through the URC and the Joint Public Issues Team (https://jpit.uk/)), and at a local level to explore with the Elders and our congregation.
We seek out practical ways to support our local community and where appropriate we write, on behalf of the church, to local Councillors, MPs and government to voice our concerns from a Christian perspective.
