Abington Avenue URC values each person. We aim to care for those within our fellowship offering emotional and spiritual – often praying, a listening ear or giving guidance or practical support where appropriate.
Pastoral care is provided by many, in different ways:
Each member (membership of the URC link), is linked to an Elder (link to URC Elder info) who are available for them to chat to.
Most of the pastoral care at AAURC, takes place informally, within friendships or existing small groups (especially within the home groups link to home groups).
The minister or one of the NACP area ministers are available when needed, to visit the sick, the dying, those going through personal difficulties or needing spiritual guidance. Our ministers do not offer long term counselling but can help direct you to organisations that can help.
